How to fight bad breath

The breath fresheners sold in supermarkets mask (temporarily) bad breath without addressing the cause.

To end bad breath, we must treat the cause.

Bad breath is usually not a local problem, located in the mouth. It is caused by incomplete digestion in the stomach and the fermentation of food in the intestines. Infections fungi (Candida albicans), heavy metals accumulations, indigestion, kidney dysfunction or liver and even pulmonary disorders are possible causes.

Sulfuric compounds accumulate in your guts, and your body gets rid of them by removing the lungs, and therefore the breath.

Fortunately, this problem can often be treated with simple natural product without any danger to the body.
A healthy digestive tract
The first rule is to clean your digestive tract. Eat more soluble fiber like psyllium, which you can take a tablespoon in a glass of water morning and night to clean the colon.

Drink water regularly. Note that I did not say to soak up water as recommended by the health authorities, who would turn us into tropical plants.

Excess water is bad for your health, you drain precious minerals in your organs. By cons, drink a glass of water in the morning, 10 minutes before breakfast is a great way to cleanse your kidneys. During the rest of the day, a glass of water with each meal and a cup of green tea twice daily than enough, unless of course that you do intense physical exercise or that you live in a hot country .

You will notice all the better these first two rules you choose foods that contain fiber and water ...: An obvious example is the green salad, but you also fruits, raw vegetables, sprouts and beans.
A good intestinal flora
Your digestive tract to function, needs an intestinal flora quality. This will happen if you grow good bacteria by regularly consuming "probiotic" bacteria that name because they are "pro-life."

Take a daily supplement of lactobacillus acidophilus available in health food stores or consume products containing as kefir. These good bacteria will help your digestion and eliminate the bad bacteria that produce foul-smelling gases.
Aggravating factors
Garlic and onion, which contain many sulfur compounds cause bad breath.

The many people who have problems digesting lactose (milk sugar) can have bad breath when they consume dairy products.

Poor oral hygiene improves nothing, plaque buildup, tooth decay, gum disease, food debris and rotting teeth are among the aggravating factors.

So you can improve things by acting on these factors.

Once you have done all that, you will have treated the bottom line. Now, this does not necessarily sufficient in all circumstances. And this is where I have a really useful information.
Your mom was right!
You remember your mom usually put a good dose of parsley in his dishes with lots of garlic (Paris mushroom salad, snails ...).

Is that parsley contains a lot of chlorophyll, the green pigments that give color to the leaves and plants.

It is a fact that chlorophyll is a powerful natural deodorant for the body.

In 1950, Dr. Howard Westcott, internal hospitals, released the findings of a study he conducted on anemic patients, in which it found that the smell of urine of those who had ate chlorophyll was much less strong.

It was then assumed that the chlorophyll attenuated bad breath and body odor, a fact which has been verified in a small test on his fellow students in medicine.

Ultimately, he found that mouthwashes with chlorophyll decreased significantly odors of those who drank onion juice (a practice fortunately uncommon ...)

It was enough to trigger a global movement for chewing gum and toothpaste with chlorophyll.
Double effect of chlorophyll
The origin of chlorophyll can fight body odor is twofold.

First, it eliminates odors in the mouth and throat. But then, especially, chlorophyll is highly alkaline ... which means that it has a beneficial effect on the gastrointestinal tract by regulating the production of bacteria and detoxifying the body.

The detoxifying activity of chlorophyll in the flow of blood has a purifying effect on the whole body that freshens breath.

But beware: many people tend to confuse mint and chlorophyll.

Mint, and mint baths mouths commercially, are doing nothing to fight bad breath. They just mask the odor. Internal causes of the problem are not attacked.

In addition, studies conducted in recent years at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, the daily use of mouthwashes affects:
The risk of oral cancer;
The erosion of tooth enamel;
The increase in tooth sensitivity.
But the most disturbing aspect of mouthwashes is that they may aggravate your breath problems. This is because they generally contain alcohol massively kills bacteria in your mouth.

At the time, this improves the breath but the long term effect is that the freed space is rapidly colonized by bad bacteria. The use of mouthwashes only increases the cycle.

Chlorophyll, she does not trigger a domino effect of this type and has a positive effect on general health, since it also has anti-carcinogenic properties, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory.

It also contains a lot of essential nutrients: vitamin A, C, E and K, folic acid (B9), iron, calcium and magnesium.

It has a powerful chelating effect, that is to say, it binds to heavy metals, such as mercury, and removes them from your body.

Not surprisingly, you find a lot of chlorophyll in green vegetables and algae. Mate (South American tea) is one of the richest known sources of chlorophyll.
And to finish...
Chewing dill seeds is another great way to reduce bad breath. This is also an old tradition in India that eating anise seeds, which taste is close to Dill at the end of the meal. Finally, you can choose to take supplements containing chlorophyll: the standard dose is 1 teaspoon of powder or 100 mg tablet daily after a meal.

If you choose to take a supplement of chlorophyll in liquid form, such as alfalfa, it can take up to 1 tablespoon or 500-1000 mg daily. The liquid must be diluted in water or juice.

But my personal preference is to remedy your mom: parsley. For if you eat parsley with your food, they will accompany your food all throughout your digestion, and produce their cooling effect where needed, when needed.
The view of Dr. Gérard Mégret *
You are aware that medical language love words pompous and sometimes abstruse.

"Bad breath" is no exception, as we call it in our jargon halitosis. Note that it is not a disease in itself but a symptom within the scope dune illness (eg fever for influenza example).

About this bad breath, can not accept this basic truth applies to (almost) all fields of medicine: better to treat the cause that its effects.

Its multiple origins (oral, ENT, Digestive and bronchopulmonary) were well remembered you. Perhaps we should add an important element that is personal to us and on which our actions will be more limited: the pH ("acidity") of saliva. Furthermore various recent studies have dune because state possible, more difficult to demonstrate, but we can then successfully treat: the Helicobacter pylori, a bacterium also responsible for many ulcers the stomach or duodenum.

But before we get to gastric endoscopy start by applying the advice that was provided will.
